These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants, contributors, partners and attendees involved in Adelaide Design Week every*one. By participating in the event or program, you agree to comply with the conditions outlined below.
eligibility and participation
Participants may include designers, studios, students, organisations, businesses, venues and community groups.
Participants warrant that all information provided in applications, submissions and promotional materials is accurate and not misleading. Adelaide Design Week reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to accept, reject or withdraw any participant, project or event from the program.
All participants must:
- provide accurate and truthful information
- deliver the proposed event or project as described in their application
- comply with relevant safety, accessibility and legal requirements
Submitting an Expression of Interest to Adelaide Design Week does not guarantee inclusion in the program. The program is carefully curated to ensure a balanced, diverse and cohesive offering aligned with the event's theme and vision.
program inclusion
Acceptance into the Adelaide Design Week program does not constitute provision of funding, venues, staffing, equipment or technical support, cleaning or security unless expressly confirmed in writing by Adelaide Design Week.
Participants remain solely responsible for securing all resources necessary to deliver their event, exhibition or activity.
Participants must develop, coordinate and implement their event or program during the official 2026 Adelaide Design Week dates of 14 – 18 October 2026, within Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.
Participants must submit their final assets by the prescribed date and not drastically differ from their proposed EOI without discussion with the Adelaide Design Week team, or risk removal from the program.
participant responsibilities
Adelaide Design Week participants are solely responsible for the planning, management and delivery of their event, including but not limited to:
- venue management and staffing
- risk assessment and public safety
- compliance with applicable laws, regulations and permits
- accessibility planning and communication
- insurance coverage appropriate to the activity
Participants must ensure that their activities comply with all relevant local, state and federal legislation.
accessibility and inclusion
Participants agree to make reasonable efforts to ensure that their events are accessible and inclusive. Participants must provide accurate accessibility information for publication where requested.
marketing and promotion
Participants agree to:
- provide accurate and timely promotional materials, including text and images for promotional use
- acknowledge Adelaide Design Week in their promotional materials and use supplied branding in accordance with brand guidelines where provided
- grant Adelaide Design Week a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use submitted materials for marketing, publicity, archival and reporting purposes
photography and documentation
Participants acknowledge that photography, filming and recording may occur during their event. Participants grant Adelaide Design Week the right to use such material for promotional, educational and archival purposes without compensation.
Participants are responsible for notifying attendees where documentation will occur.
intellectual property
Participants retain ownership of their work, however grant Adelaide Design Week permission to:
- publish images and descriptions of the work
- use documentation for promotional and archival purposes
changes, cancellations and withdrawals
Participants must notify Adelaide Design Week as soon as possible if:
- event details change
- the event must be cancelled
- the participant wishes to withdraw
Adelaide Design Week reserves the right to amend the program if required, and to cancel or modify events where necessary.
code of conduct
All participants and attendees of Adelaide Design Week must:
- behave respectfully and professionally
- provide a safe and inclusive environment
- avoid discrimination, harassment or unsafe behaviour
Organisers may remove participants or attendees who breach this code.
liability and indemnity
Participants are responsible for appropriate insurance and risk management.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adelaide Design Week accepts no liability for:
- loss, theft or damage to property
- personal injury or death occurring during participant-led events
- any costs or losses incurred by participants in delivering their activities
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Adelaide Design Week and its organisers against any claims arising from their participation.
privacy
Personal information collected by Adelaide Design Week will be used for event administration, communication, marketing and reporting. Information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of South Australia, Australia. Adelaide Design Week reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
